Roasted Pork Tenderloin in Cherry Sauce 😛
Read MoreThere are certain foods I become obsessed with making. Scones are one of those foods. My obsession began in NYC working above Dean & DeLuca. I have so many variations and make them according to what is in season. So, blackberry lemon scones are on deck today. Wonderful with coffee but not overly sweet. Just enough.
Read MoreSeriously Carol. Chopped liver post 😂.
I get it....kinda because I gotta be straight up. I love this stuff. I’ve waited 51 years for my mom to show me how she makes her chopped liver. This is Home to me. This is my Dad (and even in his last days of dialysis would say “Cash, pack a little chopped liver & a little slice of rye”. ) And now it’s a great afternoon with my mom.

Read MoreFunctional foods are foods that go beyond just basic nutrition. They are believed to have a positive impact on your health. Functional foods are believed to not only optimize your health, but they are credited with the ability to reduce the risk of disease. Think super Superfoods...but that seems so old-fashioned now. Read MoreSometimes you just have to throw together a Greek Salad. Doesn’t seem to be the time for Romaine😳, so I opted for baby arugula as the base.
Grilled Whole Red Snapper. Done! 🤗 I decided (because I prepped Tzatziki for the week)to find a Greek inspired recipe. The most daunting moment was halfway through grilling, I realized I had to SERVE the fish...well I was not the waiter in Julia & Julie deftly removing fillet from bone, but it wasn’t a disaster so I’m calling this a cooking adventure WIN (and the kids all ate it too).
Read MoreYou know me...if life would let me (I.e., kids, hubby, dog...) I would be whipping up Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon on the daily. BUT I ain’t got six uninterrupted hours. So in my usual fashion....I ask how can I get all the flavor more efficiently (lazy is key to innovation). So here you go....my take. This is 2 1/2 hours, start to finish. But only 20 mins hands on. The rest is for your oven to work it’s magic. The best part...it tastes better the next day.

Read MoreIf I was going to be a fragrance it would have to include Meyer lemons (lavender too, but not with the chicken😂). I love this easy roast chicken. Perfect family dinner and your house smells, well like Home.

Read MoreWhat if I told you if the bulk of your intake is food products and you don’t cook, that you will be over-fat? What if I told you marketing and nutrition labels are not truthful? What if I told you all diets are the same? What if I told you any eating plan that tells you it is not a diet, but is focused on quantity and elimination is, in fact, a diet. What if I told you that quick, deprivation-based weight loss is not sustainable? What if I told you the food industry and diet culture know their promises are lies, but their wealth is built on your belief that you fail because you lack willpower and not because they fail you?
